As you can imagine, we are all busy trying to prepare for the changes that lie ahead. As a staff, we have decided that for this set of interviews we will be conducting them by telelphone. We will be starting these within the next few days. Although not as personal, we certainly will still be able to share the progress and the many wonderful things your child has been doing thus far in Grade 1.

Our new temporary home!
Hi everyone,
Our home away from home has been decided and it will be Parkside where we will "hang our hats". Joining us at Parkside will also be the four kindergarten classes as well as the two french immersion grade one classes. There will be plenty of familiar faces in the halls and on the playground! Also, since we worked so well together for the three days while 1B's room was being renovated, it has been decided that we will continue to work and learn together at Parkside. That means that Grade 1A and 1B will be one class! It will be great! As you can imagine, we have some work ahead of us as we take apart our old rooms and settle into our new temporary room.
We are thinking of you all everyday and look forward to seeing your smiling faces on November 15th!

Hello Grade 1A and 1B!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
It has been an interesting few days for everyone! If you are looking for some things to work on while we are apart here are a few suggestions:
* Please read daily to your child. This is invaluable to your child's progress. Asking questions about the story, looking at the pictures and describing what is happening, and finding word wall words and sounds that have been covered would be beneficial.
* Practice letter and number formation.
* Working with numbers 1-20.
We miss our students and look forward to reuniting soon.
